BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AdvisorShares, a leading sponsor of actively managed exchange-traded funds (ETFs), announced today that the AdvisorShares Accuvest Global Opportunities ETF (NYSE Arca: ACCU) and the AdvisorShares Athena International Bear ETF (NYSE Arca: HDGI) will close. The AdvisorShares Board of Trustees approved the closings and subsequent liquidations of ACCU and HDGI. Following their last day of trading on January 9, 2015, both ETFs will cease operations, withdraw their assets, and distribute the remaining proceeds to shareholders on or after January 16, 2015.
