Affordable Language Services Is a Goering Center Private Business Award Finalist

CINCINNATI, Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AFFORDABLE LANGUAGE SERVICES is the recipient of the 2017 Goering Center Family & Private Business Finalist Award for Private Businesses with 26-100 employees. This annual honor is bestowed upon only two companies; this exemplifies what family and private business is and should be.

Affordable Language Services has been supporting the language service industry for over 18 years. In 2016, the company decided to take a step back and look at where they were and more importantly where they wanted to go. With 36 employees located in Blue Ash, Ohio and over 600 linguistic vendor partners worldwide, they decided that in order to achieve significant growth, they had to make strategic changes. They hired a General Manager, Director of Sales, Director of Operations as well as a Strategic Planning and a Marketing Consultant. In addition to leadership, the company has undergone a brand refresh with a new logo, color scheme, brand voice and defined differentiators. They have just completed a major website redesign to allow finding information and providing quotes easier for their customers. Affordable Language Services is excited about their accomplishments in 2017 and look forward to accelerated growth in the months to come.

This annual recognition program, in its 18th year, honors Cincinnati regional businesses that exemplify the best in family and private business practices.  Each year over 500 businesses apply for these awards. AFFORDABLE LANGUAGE SERVICES was evaluated by an independent panel of judges who reviewed applications as they relate to the Goering Center's 10 Best Practices, business success and their positive impact on the community. 

After first being named one of only 75 Semi-Finalists, AFFORDABLE LANGUAGE SERVICES was then selected as a Finalist for Private Businesses with 26-100 employees. In addition, JTM Food Group was named to the Goering Center Hall of Fame and Mary Miller, JANCOA, was titled the 2017 Baldwin Award Winner for their dedication and service to the Goering Center.

AFFORDABLE LANGUAGE SERVICES is one of an estimated 4,500 family and private businesses in the Cincinnati region; the Goering Center has 340 of these businesses as active members with a goal of 400 members by the end of 2018. Membership is not a prerequisite for the awards or for nomination, as fewer than half of the semi-finalists are current Goering Center members.
