AICPA-UNC to Release Results of Quarterly Economic Outlook Survey
NEW YORK, March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants will release the results of its most recent quarterly survey of chief financial officers and senior-level executive Certified Public Accountants. The survey results show CPAs in executive and finance positions are more optimistic about prospects for the U.S. economy and their organizations and see slight improvement on the employment outlook, but have raised concerns about rising inflation.
The first quarter Business and Industry Economic Outlook Survey, which was conducted via an online questionnaire from Feb. 9-24, included 1168 CPAs who hold leadership positions as chief financial officers, chief executive officers, chief operating officers, or controllers in their companies. The survey provides insights on the outlook for the economy, the prospects for companies and expectations for revenues, profits and hiring.
It is conducted jointly by AICPA and the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
