Air Force Association's CyberPatriot and NPower Announce The Community Corps Partnership
ARLINGTON, Va., June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Force Association's CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Education Program today announced a new partnership with NPower and their tech skills volunteer program, The Community Corps. The partnership will focus on advancing STEM education and providing technology and professional skills training to underserved youth across a nationwide network of schools, nonprofits and community members.
The Community Corps is a skills-based volunteering program connecting technology professionals with high impact nonprofits and schools via an online portal. NPower tech volunteers work hand-in-hand with schools and nonprofits across the country to help them use technology more effectively and inspire the next generation of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professionals. NPower's other program, Technology Service Corps, builds brighter futures for underserved young adults and veterans through free technology and professional skills training.

Through the new partnership, The Community Corps tech volunteers will participate in CyberPatriot's Mentor program, providing valuable career insight to student Competitors and helping middle and high school teams across the U.S. develop the technical knowhow they need to excel in the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition.
