Airport Cities World Conference and Exhibition (ACE 2010) to be Held in Beijing
ACL to host airport city industry's highest-level event, held in mainland China for the first time
BEIJING, March 16 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Airport City Development, Ltd. (ACL) announced today that it will be hosting the 10th Airport Cities World Conference and Exhibition (ACE 2010) in the China World Hotel Beijing from April 21 to 23. Many high-level delegations and dozens of exhibitors from around the world will be attracted to Beijing. This session also marks the first time the highest-level event in the airport city industry will be held on the Chinese Mainland.

The global economy remains unpredictable, making 2010 a critical year for the development of the aviation industry. As the host of ACE 2010 (Airport Cities World Conference and Exhibition), ACL will work closely with the organizing committee (Insight Media Limited) to acquaint experts and scholars from the global airport city industry with the charm of new Beijing and the broad prospects of Beijing's airport city. During the three-day session, ACL, together with the event's organizing committee, will arrange a series of keynote speeches for guests, as well as organize a series of informal activities aimed at promoting networking among the participants. The activities include: a welcoming reception to be held at China World Hotel Beijing, a gala dinner to be held in Dong Yuan Theater, visits to Beijing Capital International Airport, Airport City Logistic Park (ACLP) and Tianzhu Free Trade Zone, and the closing reception and ACE2011 hosting-rights handover ceremony to be held at China World Hotel Beijing.
Both Desmond Shum, ACL Vice Chairman& CEO, and Ellen Hu, ACL Vice President, will be present at this year's ACE to deliver keynote addresses. In addition, a number of domestic and international experts and scholars from the airport city industry and the field of airport-based economies will attend the session to deliver statements and attend discussions, including: Professor John D. Kasarda, Director of Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, University of North Carolina; Professor Cao Yunchun, Director of Airport Economics Institute, China Aviation University; and Tian Baohua, former president of the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China. Discussion topics include: "The role of the airport city and aerotropolis in China's economic development"; "Airport commercial property development: opportunities and challenges"; and "Cargo hubs and logistics centers".
