Alder Koten to Co-lead NACD Director Professionalism® for Top Latin American Executives and Future Boardroom Leaders in Mexico City
HOUSTON, Jan. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Alder Koten, the consulting firm that helps shape and develop organizations, will host the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Director Professionalism®, a foundation course for aspiring or new corporate directors, in Mexico City on Sept. 4, 2014.
This one-day, custom program will be designed specifically for Latin American executives who wish to serve on public company boards in the United States or wish to gain a deeper understanding about corporate governance best practices, challenges and opportunities in the United States.
The highly interactive agenda will cover the fundamentals of boardroom effectiveness, including fiduciary responsibilities, key committees, current legal trends and thinking on Capitol Hill, strategy, risk, board/C-suite relationships and much more.
Attendees will not only take a deep-dive in critical boardroom topics and spend ample time networking with boardroom and C-suite peers, but will earn the foundation credits required to become an NACD Governance Fellow.
"This program is unique in Mexico because it considers the legal and regulatory framework of corporate governance in the United States," said Jose Ruiz, Alder Koten's Chief Executive Officer. "It can help Latin American executives prepare to serve on US corporate boards and provide a benchmark for best practices for boards in Latin America."
