Alerting Contractors and Emergency Responders of Hail and Tornados
MetLoop Reduces Response Time for Victims of Severe Weather
DALLAS, Aug. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- First responders and roofing industry leaders are touting MetLoop's new SITE-SPECIFIC severe weather monitoring system as an essential tool for faster deployment of emergency response to severe weather. The result: more lives saved and profits gained. 2016 MetLoop subscribers include both consumers and businesses that are using the tool to track severe weather (thunderstorms, hail, heavy winds and rain, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.) to any specified address. Businesses are using the 95+% accurate alerts as an advantage to reaching customers, often 30-60 minutes in advance of a storm touch down.
AspenMark Roofing and Solar has been a MetLoop customer for the past year and uses its severe weather alert system to monitor every one of its customers' addresses.
AspenMark Roofing and Solar Founder and CEO Chris Zazo says MetLoop gives him an edge over competitors.
"MetLoop's been a Godsend to us. Prior to MetLoop we were losing 30% of our customers to competitors. When we get severe weather, fraudulent contractors come out of the woodwork and prey on our customers. Now we know exactly where the storm hit, and we are first on the scene."
Zazo is also using MetLoop's weather data as a tool for determining whether a customer's claim is covered under warranty. Zazo approximates that MetLoop has helped to recoup 50% of their customer loss and as a MetLoop reseller, they now provide severe weather alerts directly to customers.
Jim Messerly, who has 31 years of experience as Sr. Sergeant and Nuclear and Transportation Infrastructure Emergency Manager with Arizona Highway Patrol, says:
"We are presently working with legislators on national disaster preparedness initiatives that engage contractors to increase efficiency and response time. MetLoop's accurate weather reporting in real time will help us stage and deploy resources to the areas under the most threat."
Messerly is designing new mobile-based systems in Arizona, collaborating with all levels of emergency responders, military, government, and academia as advisors to the massive technology integration that will be in testing through 2017. MetLoop continues to contract with government and businesses to make consumers aware of the kind of weather that could threaten their families and property.
