Aleut Recognized by UCOR for Exceptional Small Business Performance

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., July 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --  Aleut Demolition Services LLC (Aleut), a subsidiary of Aleut Federal, LLC (Aleut Federal), has been honored with a 2025 Small Business Award by United Cleanup Oak Ridge (UCOR) for outstanding performance in support of the Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM).

The annual awards recognize exceptional contributions from small business partners who help advance OREM's critical cleanup mission. Since the launch of UCOR's current contract in 2022, small businesses have performed 85% of subcontracted work, far surpassing DOE's 45% goal and totaling more than $770 million in awards. Aleut is proud to be a trusted partner in this effort.

During the ceremony, UCOR highlighted Aleut's work on the Alpha-2 utility reroute project at the Y-12 National Security Complex, citing the team's responsiveness and technical agility in overcoming significant challenges. As UCOR noted, "Aleut's efforts to respond to challenges saved months and millions of dollars for the project."
