Alliance Entertainment to Distribute New Album from Amanda Palmer, Social Media's Musical Queen; Theatre Is Evil to be Released September 11, 2012

SUNRISE, Fla., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Amanda Palmer, the undisputed musical queen of social networking and fan engagement, is again leading the way in challenging traditional music business models by choosing Alliance Entertainment (www.aent.com) for the exclusive retail distribution in the U.S. of her Theatre Is Evil album, set for a September 11th release.  Audiolife (www.audiolife.com), a division of Alliance, will additionally distribute other products (books, art, etc.) associated with the multidimensional album project.  Called "one of music's most productive users of social media" (New York Times), singer, songwriter, piano-slayer and super-blogger Palmer funded the album from her 8 Ft Records label with nearly 25,000 album presales via Kickstarter, a crowdfunding site.
