Ally Bank Adds Mobile Banking App for Windows Phone 8

MIDVALE, Utah, Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ally Bank, the direct banking subsidiary of Ally Financial Inc., has expanded availability of its popular Ally Mobile Banking app to include a version designed exclusively for Windows Phone 8 users, enabling even more customers to access and manage their money "on the go" using the Bank's award-winning app. 

The Windows smartphone app is being rolled out in two phases: The first iteration includes account and transaction detail, recurring electronic transfers between Ally and non-Ally bank accounts and Ally's remote deposit capture feature, Ally eCheck Deposit(SM).  Phase two, due out later this year, will include additional features such as Bill Pay and Popmoney® person-to-person payments.

Ally Mobile Banking was launched in April 2012 for iPhone® and Android™ devices and expanded last November with the second generation smartphone app featuring Ally eCheck Deposit and Bill Pay.  It also continued to offer customers all of its original features such as a call wait time display and a nationwide ATM and Cash-Back Locator. 

In June, the Bank was awarded Forrester's 2013 "Outside In" Award in the Customer Experience Design category for its innovative and customer-friendly design of Ally Mobile Banking.
