Almedia Ranks First for Revenue Per Employee Among the 100 Fastest-Growing Startups in DACH and CEE

Generating €2.6 million in revenue per employee, Almedia also ranks #1 among bootstrapped companies and #1 in the Marketing & adtech category on the Sifted 100: DACH & CEE 2026

BERLIN, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Almedia, the Berlin-based advertising technology company behind Freecash, generates more revenue per employee than any of the 100 companies on the Sifted 100: DACH & CEE 2026 list, published on 9 September. Almedia placed 25th overall on the leaderboard, which ranks the fastest-growing startups across 25 countries on revenue growth over the past three financial years, calculated as a two-year compound annual growth rate.

Only two companies on the entire leaderboard produced at least €1m of revenue per employee, with Almedia the higher of the two. Almedia is also one of only five on the list with revenue above €100m, and the highest-ranked marketing and advertising technology company in the ranking.

The results show how efficiently Almedia has scaled. Founded in Berlin in 2020, the company was initially funded with €20,000 of founder Moritz Holländer's personal savings. From the beginning, Almedia chose to grow without venture capital, using revenue generated by the business to fund its expansion. Now, it is the fastest-growing zero-funding company on the leaderboard, at more than double the growth rate of the next.

Almedia's growth has been driven by its approach to one of digital advertising's biggest challenges: acquiring users who actually stay engaged.
