Altai Technologies Introduces the World's First Carrier Grade 802.11n Long Range Outdoor Super WiFi Base Station

HONG KONG, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Altai Technologies, a carrier-grade Super WiFi equipment supplier today introduced the world's first 802.11n long range outdoor Super WiFi Base Station -- Altai A8n Super WiFi Base Station.  

The Altai A8n is a multi-radio base station utilizing MIMO smart antenna technologies and a patented signal processing algorithm to provide the industry's best coverage per base station.  The multiple antennas of the A8n can be configured to provide 10 times larger area coverage, compared to the conventional 802.11n access point.  

Key features of the A8n Super WiFi Base Station architecture will include:

• The highest throughput performance and coverage in the market, it can achieve 1.7 km in the LOS environment with standard WiFi clients.
• Supporting both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz operation on each radio, this provides the flexibility for the application in different scenarios

• Co-location with existing GSM/CDMA/3G/WiMax cell sites and therefore most of the site acquisition costs, wired backhaul costs and radio planning works can be saved
