Brost, a 40-year-old, married mother of two from Eugene, Oregon, is an elite athlete with an illustrious academic and athletic resume. Brost graduated Cum Laude from Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) where she excelled in basketball and soccer. She was the Striker/Midfielder when the PLU soccer team won National Championships in 1989 and 1991. Honors continued as she was named 1st Team NAIA Women's Soccer All-American (1992), 1st Team Adidas Soccer All-American Scholar Athlete (1992), ISAA/Adidas "National Player of the Year" – NAIA division (1992), and 1st Team NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete (1991, 1992).
