American Airlines Offers Up to 10,000 AAdvantage Bonus Miles and Great Introductory Fares on New JFK-Madrid Flights

Introductory Fare Offer

American, a founding member of the oneworld® Alliance, is also offering introductory round-trip Economy Class fares on the JFK-Madrid route of $439 for outbound travel Sunday through Thursday, returning Monday through Thursday, or $489 for outbound travel Friday and Saturday, returning Friday through Sunday.

Here are the highlights of American's JFK-Madrid low fares:

• Fares are for round-trip, Economy Class travel, purchased on AA.com.
• Fares are valid for outbound travel May 1 through May 31, 2010, with all return travel completed by June 15, 2010.
• Tickets booked on AA.com must be purchased at least seven days prior to departure, or within one day of making reservations, but no later than 11:59 p.m. (CDT) April 12, 2010.
• A Saturday-night minimum stay is required and a 30-day maximum stay is allowed.

New JFK-Madrid Flight

The new Madrid flight will be flown with Boeing 757 aircraft with 16 seats in Business Class and 166 seats in the Economy cabin.

AAdvantage Bonus Miles Offer Terms and Conditions

AAdvantage bonus miles offer is valid on American Airlines marketed and operated nonstop flights for round-trip travel between New York (JFK) and Madrid, Spain (MAD), May 1, 2010, through June 30, 2010. Offer applies only to AAdvantage members who purchase and fly on eligible published fare tickets. Flights operated by our codeshare partners are not eligible for this promotion.  Bonus miles will be awarded based on the booking class purchased and do not count toward elite status qualification. For the purpose of this promotion, a round-trip is defined as travel in the same purchased booking class for both the departure and return transatlantic flight segments. Registration prior to travel is required.

Introductory Fare Offer Terms and Conditions

Fares do not include (a) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; (b) September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport; (c) other government taxes and fees of up to $180. Tickets may also be obtained (and changes may be made to tickets purchased from sources other than American Airlines, such as travel agents, online third-party Web sites and other airlines) through an American Airlines Telephone Reservations Office for an additional $20, or at an American Airlines Travel Center or Airport Ticket Office for an additional $30. Travelers may check one bag for no charge and a second bag for $50.

Ticketing Changes: Changes to your ticket may be made if you meet the restrictions of the new fare and pay up to a $250 fee plus any fare difference. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Changes must be made before your ticketed flight's scheduled departure time. If you cancel your flight prior to scheduled departure time, the ticket will be valid for one year from the date of issue on an unused ticket or one year from travel origination on a partially used ticket. If you do not cancel your flight before scheduled departure time, the ticket has no value.

Fares are subject to change without notice. International fares are subject to government approval. Introductory fares are valid on non-stops only.
