American Airlines Wins International Cargo Award For Fifth Consecutive Year

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines Cargo has been recognized as "Best Cargo Airline in The Americas" for the fifth consecutive year by readers of Air Cargo News – a leading London-based publication serving the international logistics industry. In this year's Cargo Airline of the Year award poll, more than 25,000 votes were cast by supply chain professionals for their preferred global providers. Voting in the 29th annual competition was audited by UK-based British International Freight Association (BIFA).

The trophy was presented at a gala dinner held in London on April 28 to Tristan Koch, American's Managing Director – Cargo Sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, who accepted the award on behalf of the airline.
