American Skin Association Announces New Board of Directors Member Helen T. Shin, MD of Hackensack University Medical Center
NEW YORK, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- American Skin Association (ASA) today announced a new member of its Board of Directors, Dr. Helen T. Shin, Section Chief of Pediatric Dermatology at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Shin is recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor of 2015 in Dermatology.
A longtime member of ASA's Education Council, now serving as its Chair, Dr. Shin has been an important member of the ASA family for some time. Her 15 years of experience as a pediatric dermatologist has provided her a unique perspective as it relates to educating youth on skin health and sun safety. Recently, Dr. Shin developed an impactful presentation, "The Wonders of Skin," detailing the importance of skin health education in schools. She presented this at the NJAAP Conference to NJ school physicians and nurses this past year.
