America's Headband Crisis May Be Solved

We have a strong belief that a change is needed in the apparel industry -- most specifically in manufacturing. But there is more at stake than that.

Our mission began upon learning that dumping in America's landfills has increased 400 percent over the past twenty years, in part because of the growing trend to purchase Fast Fashion: inexpensive synthetic apparel that Americans wear once or twice and then toss. Slipping or constrictive headbands that may emit airborne and underground poisons for thousands of years, due to chemicals and dyes used in the manufacturing process.

"The increase in toxic fumes and water pollution from these ballooning landfills is absolutely terrifying," Rani says. "This should be a real concern for all of us. It is a crisis that needs to be addressed."

We are setting out to do something different. Unlike other headbands that give you a headache and a forehead ring from their vice-like grip, ours being made from organic cotton provides the most incredible and comfortable fit.
