AMN Healthcare Names Dan White as President of Strategic Workforce Solutions

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AMN Healthcare Services, Inc. (NYSE: AHS), the innovator in healthcare workforce solutions and the largest provider of staffing services in the nation, has announced the promotion of Dan White to President of Strategic Workforce Solutions. He will report directly to AMN President and CEO Susan Salka.

In this role, White will be responsible for business development for the suite of AMN's healthcare workforce solutions, including the industry-leading Managed Services Programs (MSP), Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), Strategic Accounts and Client Marketing teams. He assumes the role held by Bob Livonius, who will continue with AMN as Executive Advisor reporting to Salka.

Bob Livonius is credited with advancing the acceptance of MSP and other workforce solutions in the healthcare industry. For years, healthcare enterprises have struggled with workforce management problems while at the same time maintaining their focus on patient care and safety. MSP and other workforce solutions significantly reduce the management burden on healthcare enterprises while also reducing contingent labor costs. During Livonius' tenure within AMN and the industry, the number of healthcare providers using workforce solutions such as MSPs has progressively risen.

Livonius joined AMN in 2010 as President of Strategic Workforce Solutions after serving for seven years as chief executive officer of Medfinders, a leading healthcare workforce solutions and staffing company. Prior to joining Medfinders, Livonius served as chief operating officer for Spherion Corp. He also spent 20 years in the information technology sector, including 15 years at IBM.  He is a board member and former chairman of the American Staffing Association (ASA).

White joined AMN as Senior Vice President of Strategic Workforce Solutions in early 2014 with more than 25 years of professional experience in recruitment, product marketing and management, software development, executive leadership and venture capital.  In this role, he has continued to advance AMN's MSP and RPO services. White has a proven track record in implementing large-scale RPO programs for companies, including for IBM.

He was also the founder of SkillSet Software in 1993 and served in various sales and operational leadership roles across the industry.  White is a recognized industry spokesman, speaking regularly on the topic of workforce lifecycle management, recruitment best practices, human resources systems design and talent optimization, among other related topics. He received a BBA in Accounting from the University of San Diego in 1985.
