Ancora Advisors Named Core Fixed-Income Manager of the Year

CLEVELAND, May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ancora Advisors, Northeast Ohio's largest independently owned money manager, is pleased to announce that The Emerging Manager Monthly, has selected Ancora as its Core Fixed-Income Manager of 2010. This selection is based on the compilation of a highly-respected pool of industry experts who used quantitative and qualitative measures to compile the results.

Ancora's Fixed Income team members (pictured from left to right) include James Bernard, CFA – Senior Vice President and Director of Fixed Income, James Raimondo, Vice President and Portfolio Manager and Jeremy Scacco, Assistant Vice President. Combined they have over 50 years of investment management experience and have worked together for much of their careers.

Over the years the Ancora Fixed Income team has principally utilized sector allocation to add value in the "up in quality" approach to fixed income management. Fixed income assets have continued to grow since the Fixed Income team reassembled at Ancora in 2005.
