CenterWell Pharmacy will dispense medications for new Andel business lines, including immunology, offering more treatments and broadening access to Andel's direct-to-employer marketplace
NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Andel, the direct-to-employer medication marketplace, today announced that CenterWell Pharmacy® will serve as a dispensing pharmacy for new Andel business lines, including immunology and more. The collaboration will support Andel's expansion beyond GLP-1s, bringing its model for more affordable medication access to additional categories of high-cost drugs.
The expansion addresses a major source of financial pressure for employers. U.S. specialty medication spending increased by $27 billion in 2024, driven largely by oncology and immunology, according to IQVIA. Use of immunology medicines alone grew 72% between 2019-24. In Navitus's 2025 commercial pharmacy benefit analysis, targeted immunomodulators were the highest-cost specialty category, at more than $22 per member per month, nearly twice the spending on oncology medications.
Andel connects plans paying for these drugs with the manufacturers setting prices. Andel's marketplace gives employers a way to provide affordable access to medications outside traditional pharmacy benefits. With CenterWell Pharmacy® supporting dispensing and home delivery for new business lines, Andel is advancing its mission to help employers lower medication costs while expanding access for employees and their families.
"GLP-1s were the starting point. Our ambition has always been to change how employers buy high-cost medications," said Jay Bregman, Founder and CEO of Andel. "Employers need a way to bring costs down while making more treatments available to the people who need them. CenterWell gives us the pharmacy capabilities to take this model into immunology and additional therapeutic areas. That means we can address more of an employer's drug spending and more of their employees' needs."
Adding immunology and other therapeutic areas will broaden the role Andel plays in an employer's benefits offering. Employers will have more opportunities to access medications through Andel's marketplace, extending the model to treatments for autoimmune diseases and other conditions that require ongoing care.
CenterWell Pharmacy® will dispense and deliver eligible prescriptions for Andel's expanding direct-to-employer business lines. The collaboration combines Andel's employer and manufacturer marketplace with CenterWell's specialty and home delivery pharmacy capabilities, connecting access to medications with prescription fulfillment.
The announcement follows Andel's recent partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers. As Andel adds manufacturers, medications and therapeutic areas, CenterWell Pharmacy® fulfillment services will support Andel's growth into a marketplace addressing a broader share of employers' prescription drug needs.
