The e-book editions, which include The Essential Calvin and Hobbes, The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes, and The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes, will be available November 12, 2013.

At the time of Watterson's retirement on January 1, 1996, Calvin and Hobbes was one of the most popular comic strips of all time, appearing in more than 2,400 newspapers.
