Ankura Appoints Cook and Shahid as Senior Managing Directors

Mr. Randall Cook brings more than a decade of experience in litigation and compliance to Ankura's Regulatory & Contractual Compliance and Risk, Resilience & Geopolitical groups. Mr. Cook has led international trade and sanctions compliance investigations, audits, and targeted enhancement programs in global aerospace defense, technology, manufacturing and services enterprises. In his former role as Assistant U.S. Attorney, he led more than 100 cases involving trade controls, sanctions violations, government contracts fraud, computer crimes, money laundering, and bank and tax fraud. Mr. Cook was most recently with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.

Mr. Waqas Shahid joins Ankura as Senior Managing Director in the firm's Regulatory & Contractual Compliance and Risk, Resilience & Geopolitical groups. He has over a decade of interdisciplinary experience in trade compliance, litigation, process automation, and consulting. He has conducted U.S. trade compliance investigations; designed and implemented international trade and sanctions compliance policies, procedures, and systems; designed and executed enterprise-wide compliance reviews; and conducted data-driven compliance risk analysis. Mr. Shahid was most recently with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.
