RICHARDSON, Texas, Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Anritsu Company announces that its MT9090A Network Master has received a 2010 Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC), in conjunction with Crossfire Media and sponsored by its 4GWE website. Winners of the Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award were chosen based upon companies who successfully demonstrated a commitment to innovation toward the 4G Wireless Evolution.
"By presenting us with this distinguished award, TMC recognizes that the MT9090A is an excellent tool for testing the optical fiber that is becoming so prevalent in the backhaul and infrastructure of Node Bs," said Wade Hulon, Vice President and General Manager of Anritsu Company, Americas Sales Region. "Network Master is a simple and effective test solution that meets the Remote Radio Head (RRH), distributed antenna system (DAS) and isolation test requirements of Tier 1 carriers."
The MT9090A Network Master features data sampling of 5 cm and dead zones of < 1 m to ensure accurate and complete fiber evaluation. Additionally, the unit has an industry first integrated 10 m patch cable. Users simply connect the fiber under test directly to the MT9090A and all characteristics, including the initial connector, are verified without the need for any additional test cables. It is easy to use and measures only 190 (W) x 96 (H) x 48 (D) mm, making it well suited for wireless technicians who must travel to various tower sights to conduct measurements.
"Anritsu deserves praise for its extraordinary achievements in the advancement of wireless backhaul technologies," said Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC. "Anritsu and all the winners are indeed the ultimate innovators of 4GWE solutions and we look forward to more innovations in the future."
The 2010 Wireless Backhaul Distinction Awards winners were published in the November 4GWE e-newsletter and on the 4GWE Web site.
