Antai Tops in Asia in Financial Times 2015 Executive Education Rankings

LONDON, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) stands at the top of Asian business schools, ranked 15th on the table for Executive Education - Custom Program in 2015, unveiled yesterday by The Financial Times (FT), a leading business news organization. 

A press conference announcing this exciting result was held yesterday morning in a newly-renovated historic building on SJTU's Xuhui campus, attended by Prof. Wu Dan, Vice-President of SJTU; Prof. Zhou Lin, Dean of Antai College; Prof. Li Yuan, Executive President of Antai College; along with corporate partners of Antai Executive Development Programs (EDP) and some 30 journalists. 

Started in 1999, FT's rankings have become renowned for their foremost authority and rigorous standards, and have served as key guidelines for professionals analyzing business school strength and competitiveness, as well as students and executives who are choosing ideal learning places. 

The Executive Education Ranking - Custome Program 2015 consists of ten criteria, from course preparation to value for money and future use. A first-time entrant, Antai managed to enter the global top ten in five of them, ranking number one in future use, number two in follow up, number four in value for money, number six in teaching materials, and number ten in faculty.

Vice-president Wu Dan congratulated Antai College on behalf of the university during the conference. "SJTU has always regarded serving society as one of the key components of school development. As an important way of doing this, EDP should provide better solutions and talent fostering models that are independent, research-backed and specialized, thus building an executive management training platform that boasts Chinese wisdom and international perspective," said Wu.

Dean Zhou Lin also pointed out the aspect of social responsibility in EDP, reckoning it should contribute to the development of domestic companies, multi-national firms, and China's national economy. "To some extent, Antai's great results on its first-time entering means that we have become an outstanding player in China's ever-growing executive education market," said Zhou.

Two representatives from the program's long-term corporate partners, Liang Xiangfeng, General Manager of Learning and Development at Hong Kong-based Bank of East Asia (BEA), and Chu Lei, vice-general manager of Singamas, a Hong Kong listed container manufacturer and logistics operator, were also present at the conference, each sharing their own experience of cooperating with Antai.
