Anti-Cyberbullying App, STOPit, Signs Seven Schools

NEW YORK, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- STOPit, a mobile app that allows victims and witnesses of cyberbullying to anonymously report incidents, which launched in January, announced that the platform has signed up three schools in the Kenilworth school district in Kenilworth, N.J.; three schools in the Somerset Academy Charter network in Jacksonville, Fla.; and Saint Denis School , a private school located in Manasquan, NJ.

One in six teenagers report being bullied via social media in the last year and 95 percent of media-using teens say they have witnessed it. The STOPit platform empowers children that have been exposed to cyberbullying, whether as a victim or bystander, to anonymously and securely take immediate action.
