Emergency SOS Live Video Is Now Available to Emergency Communications Centers in Brazil
RapidSOS Unite enables dispatchers on Brazil's 190 emergency line to request live video from iPhone users during emergencies
NEW YORK, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- RapidSOS, the leading public safety AI company, today announced that Emergency SOS Live Video is now available for emergency communications centers (ECCs) across Brazil through RapidSOS Unite.
The feature is available to users with iPhone 14 or later models running iOS 18 or later, letting them share context with first responders through live video and recorded media. During an emergency call, participating dispatchers can request live video or camera roll media from the caller over a secure connection, helping responders get the full picture faster.
"Emergency SOS Live Video represents a fundamental shift in how emergency services can protect the communities they serve. RapidSOS was proud to be one of the first organizations to enable this capability in the United States, and we are committed to bringing that same life-saving technology to emergency services in Brazil and around the world," said Michael Martin, founder and CEO of RapidSOS.
Key Features of the RapidSOS Unite Emergency SOS Live Video Integration:
- Simple and Secure for Callers: During an emergency call, if the dispatcher determines video would help, they can send a request to the caller's iPhone. The caller sees a prompt and can share live video with a single tap. The feature is encrypted by default, and the caller can stop sharing at any time.
- ECC-Controlled: Dispatchers initiate every video request. ECCs decide if and when to activate the feature for their agency and can control access by role.
- Integrated Into RapidSOS Unite: The feature is accessible within RapidSOS Unite at no additional cost to ECCs in Brazil using Unite core modules.
