Applied Information Launches Transportation Industry Survey on the Future of Traffic Operations

Survey featured in the September 2026 ITE Journal asks transportation professionals to help identify priorities for traffic signal management, maintenance and emerging technology

The survey is featured in the September 2026 issue of ITE Journal, published by ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE). Applied Information is also featured on a special cover of the issue, asking transportation professionals, "What Future Do You Want to See?" The accompanying campaign focuses on the future of traffic technology and invites readers to share their views through the industry survey.

The survey asks transportation professionals to provide their perspective on current practices and future needs in areas including traffic signal operations, corridor retiming, infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, and the use of technology to improve transportation system management. The goal is to better understand where agencies see opportunities to improve safety, reliability and operational efficiency as transportation infrastructure becomes increasingly connected.

Results of the survey will be published in November 2026.
