Applus+ RTD to present at the International Pipeline Conference Sept. 26-30 and showcase its advanced technological solutions at the International Pipeline Exposition
CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Applus+ RTD, the global leader in the provision of asset integrity technology solutions, will be unveiling the latest additions to its revolutionary NDT service capabilities with a series of demonstrations and presentations at the International Pipeline Exposition and International Pipeline Conference.
As a follow up to its initial 2014 launch, Applus+ RTD will be presenting its newly field tested and validated Difficult to Inspect solution DTI Trekscan, which utilizes the latest NDT technology for difficult to inspect scenarios characterized by small diameters, low pressures and bore restrictions. Difficult to inspect pipelines account for almost 50 percent of all pipe containment breaches.
The DTI Trekscan tool addresses many of the limitations of unpiggable pipelines by having back to back 1D bend capabilities and an optimum speed of 1.0 meter per second. This level of speed and flexibility enables the tool to run in pipelines with most petroleum products, water and crude oil.
Applus+ RTD will be demonstrating its novel ultrasonic non-destructive testing solution NDT3D IWEX, which allows for improved defect detection, characterization and visualization through 3D imaging. To date, this tool has been demonstrated for girth weld, long seam, and SCC applications and has potential for many others.
Applus+ InSite, a big data management solution developed by Applus+, will also debut during the exposition. This software solution will assist operators in automating processes, staying compliant and scaling to meet growing demands in today's data hungry market.
The expo takes place Sept. 27-29, with the conference occurring Sept. 26-30.
