April Table Games Revenue Up Over Previous Year

HARRISBURG, Pa., May 15, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that revenue from the play of table games at Pennsylvania casinos during April of 2015 was up 4% over revenue generated last year.

According to a report posted today on the Board's web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, April's gross table games revenue was $64,684,083 or $2,499,293 higher than in April 2014 when revenue totaled $62,184,790.

With an average of 1,125 tables in operation statewide on a daily basis, tax revenue produced  from table game play this April was $9,283,708. In April 2014, there was an average of 1,106 in operation daily with tax revenue at $8,944,373.

Gross revenue for each of the casinos in April 2015 compared to April 2014 is as follows:

Coupled with figures on slot machine revenue released earlier this month, the combined gross revenue from both slots and tables was $270,578,910 this April, 4.1% higher than the $259,945,767 generated in April of last year.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board:
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was established in 2004 and is tasked to oversee all aspects of the state's casino industry. There are 10 stand-alone and racetrack casinos in operation, along with the two smaller resort casinos.  These facilities collectively employ 17,200 people and generate an average of $3.7 million per day in tax revenue from slot machine and table games play.
