Further strengthening its North American operations, Aptilo Networks, a leading provider of solutions to manage mobile data services for wireless networks, has named telecom veteran Jonas Jacobsson as Vice President of Sales, Americas.
Previously Director of Partner Management at Aptilo headquarters in Stockholm, Jacobsson leads the Aptilo sales team in Americas from Aptilo's regional headquarters in Plano, Texas. Additionally, he will continue coordinating partner activities and work closely with key U.S. partners.
Jacobsson is taking over the VP Sales role from Aptilo Chief Operating Officer Paul Mikkelsen.
"The Americas is a key growth region for Aptilo Networks, as we see a strong demand for carrier-class Wi-Fi and mobile data offloading especially in South America," said Mikkelsen. "Jonas is a proven leader with strong experience in the wireless arena. We are thrilled to have him take on this role."
Prior to Aptilo, Jacobsson was Director of Business Development for Smith Micro Software. He also served as Director of Engineering for Insignia Solutions, Chief Technology Officer for Mi4e Device Management AB and Telecom Consultant for Parallel Consulting Group AB. He also worked at Ericsson for several years as Project Manager.
