ARCO Design/Build Breaks Ground on 355,000-Square-Foot Advanced Manufacturing Facility for Jamison Door Company and BMP Group in Hagerstown, Maryland

Longstanding partnership and flexible design-build approach support major manufacturing expansion and continued investment in Washington County.

HAGERSTOWN, Md., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCO Design/Build (ARCO), a leading national design-build general contractor, recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 355,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility for Jamison Door Company and its parent company, BMP Group, in Hagerstown, Maryland. The project marks the first phase of a planned 58-acre North American manufacturing campus and represents a significant investment in the region's manufacturing future.

The new production center will provide the capacity, advanced technology, and modern infrastructure needed to bolster growth for Jamison Door Company while adding U.S.-based manufacturing for certain European BMP Group brands. The facility will integrate automation, research and development, and product testing to expand manufacturing capabilities for specialty access systems, including cold storage doors, high-speed roll-up doors, dock levelers, and aircraft hangar doors. These products play a critical role in maintaining controlled environments for industries such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, warehousing, and aerospace.
