Arizona State University encourages applicants for new international biomedical diagnostics degree

TEMPE, Ariz., June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Arizona State University (ASU) is now accepting applications for the new international Master of Science in Biomedical Diagnostics degree starting this fall, 2014. This degree program is housed in the new International School of Biomedical Diagnostics, developed in collaboration with Dublin City University (DCU) and Ventana Medical Systems. Applicants are encouraged to apply before the anticipated deadline of June 30, 2014.

Working professionals looking to build a stronger foundation in biomedical diagnostics will benefit from this flexible and competitively priced online program designed to give a broad perspective of the field with a focus on applied research, technology development, reimbursement and regulation and best practices in: biomedical informatics such as digital imaging and analysis, health economics, and international commercialization perspectives. This 30-credit hour curriculum takes one year to complete; all students will be involved in an independent research project.

Courses will be taught by expert faculty across ASU and DCU, and will leverage the expertise of the National Biomarker Development Alliance led by ASU as well as the ASU Biodesign Virginia G. Piper Center for Personalized Diagnostics. Graduates will be prepared to deliver more impactful results in their current roles or take on new roles within the organization such as product heads, laboratory directors, regulatory and policy leads, medical technology sales managers and more.
