New offerings help procurement teams protect negotiated value as supplier prices change and make Arkestro's predictive procurement capabilities available for use via frontier LLMs.
HOUSTON, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Arkestro, the leading predictive procurement platform accelerating enterprise scale, today announced the launch of two new offerings: Pricing Updates and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectivity. The company demonstrated both offerings on stage at Optimal '26 Houston, Arkestro's flagship customer conference. Available today, the new offerings expand Arkestro's core predictive procurement platform and extend its capabilities into the agentic AI environments enterprises are building.
"As the workforce of the future blends human judgment with advanced AI capabilities, procurement technology has to elevate the capabilities of both," said Ben Leiken, Chief Product Officer of Arkestro. "Procurement teams need systems that remain attentive as supplier conditions change and create trusted intelligence available wherever work is happening. By extending predictive procurement across the life of an award and into the enterprise AI ecosystem, we can give buyers and suppliers better context without taking experts out of the decisions that shape those relationships."
Procurement teams often lack the time and resources to proactively revisit pricing across increasingly large supplier networks after a sourcing or buying process ends. As a result, teams are often left in a reactive position, receiving price updates only when suppliers share new information. With Pricing Updates, teams can use Arkestro to schedule recurring price reviews that prompt suppliers to confirm prices or submit changes. Arkestro evaluates each proposed change within the context of the original negotiation and can suggest counteroffers or tailored feedback before new pricing takes effect. Pricing Updates also accounts for factors that affect total landed cost, including local currencies, freight, tooling and commodity-index pricing. Previously available only to a select group of Arkestro customers, Pricing Updates is broadly available today.
This unlocks a new continuous procurement capability, giving teams a consistent view of supplier offers over time and expanding their ability to protect negotiated value after the initial bid and identify additional savings opportunities as supplier prices change.
"The centralized, proactive approach is just not something we could have established on our own," said James Cuff, Director of Indirect Sourcing, Americas, at Crown Holdings. "Even in the early stages, Arkestro has cut the time we spend reviewing and coordinating supplier price updates by roughly 50%. But the bigger value is creating a more streamlined, ongoing process with our suppliers — getting accurate pricing released faster, improving PO accuracy, and giving both sides better visibility into the data. It shifts the conversation from periodic price reviews and quarterly business reviews to a more continuous, strategic collaboration with our suppliers."
With newly launched MCP connectivity, procurement teams can bring Arkestro's predictive procurement capabilities into their existing AI workflows. Enterprises control what information an AI agent can access and what actions it can take, keeping humans at the center of procurement decisions. From there, agents can utilize intelligence provided by Arkestro to monitor sourcing activity, summarize what needs attention, draft supplier communications, and prepare new competitive bids. This reduces administrative overhead, giving procurement teams more time to apply their expertise to the decisions and supplier relationships that shape each deal.
Arkestro's new offerings come at a time when procurement professionals are being asked to do more with less. The Hackett Group projects procurement workloads will increase by 8% in 2026 alone, even as both operating budgets and headcounts decline. Both launches help procurement teams handle more work without giving up control of critical decisions. That balance is especially important as global supply chains remain volatile, allowing teams to automate more of the work while keeping human judgment at the center of supplier relationships and commercial decisions.
"Procurement and strategic sourcing teams work with data spread across many systems, each updated on its own schedule and owned by a different group. Agentic workflows can connect these sources and support faster, more consistent sourcing decisions," said Marco Fernandez, PhD, Executive Director (Intelligent Industry, DDT) at Capgemini, an Arkestro strategic deployment partner. "The strongest procurement operating models connect people and intelligent systems through agentic, cross-domain interaction. We see these interoperable requirements starting and centering around AI driven, high-context applications."
This announcement comes on the first full day of Optimal '26 Houston. The premier AI event for procurement professionals, Optimal includes keynotes, workshops and case studies showing how AI and predictive technologies are changing procurement across industries.
