Arlington-Fairfax Elks to Start Military to Medicine - Active Duty Military Spouse and War Wounded Caregiver Initiative

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Arlington-Fairfax Elks Lodge promotes and provides scholarships for training programs to military spouses and war wounded caregivers.  These training programs lead directly to job placement.

Military to Medicine - Active Duty Military Spouse and War Wounded Caregiver Initiative will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Arlington-Fairfax Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Arlington-Fairfax Elks Lodge No. 2188 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
