As Seasonal Hiring Increases Nationwide, Party City Recruits Up To 20,000 Halloween Employees

ROCKAWAY, N.J., Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As summer winds down, companies nationwide prepare for the upcoming holiday season with increases in seasonal employment. According to a study by Harris Interactive©, seasonal employment has increased from 29 percent in 2011 to 36 percent in 2012. The retailer is hiring Halloween associates to undertake a variety of positions, including Cashiers, Roadside Characters, Costume and Accessory Specialists, and Stock Room Associates. As the retail industry continues to lead job growth, many opportunities exist for seasonal employees to become permanent and continue working after Halloween, depending on specific store staffing needs. All employees undergo a specialized training program to gain Halloween costume product knowledge as more than 45 percent of Halloween shoppers dress in costumes according to the National Retail Federation.
