Asembia Appoints Specialty Pharmacy Veteran David Skomo Chief Executive Officer

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Asembia, a leading provider of end-to-end, technology-enabled commercialization solutions for the specialty pharmaceutical industry, today announced the appointment of David Skomo as Chief Executive Officer. Skomo succeeds Lawrence Irene, co-founder of Asembia, and will lead the company's next phase of growth by investing in technology, marketing, and operational initiatives to serve more patients, prescribers, pharmacies, and pharma companies.

Skomo brings more than three decades of specialty pharmacy, PBM and pharma services experience helping patients access innovative drug therapies. To lead Asembia in its next phase of accelerated growth and innovation, Skomo brings deep industry knowledge, specialty pharmacy expertise, and a strong track record of growth. As CEO, Skomo will focus on strengthening and investing in Asembia's commercial capabilities, technology platform, and pharmacy services through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

David Skomo joins Asembia from WellDyne, where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Division President of HealthDyne, overseeing home delivery pharmacy, specialty pharmacy services, PBM operations, customer care, and HealthDyne sales and client services. He previously held senior positions at OptumRx, CVS, and Diplomat.
