Ashley Global Retail Opens Award-Winning Facility in Ybor City
Political and business leaders celebrate economic development in historic community
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashley Global Retail unveiled its new award-winning facility in Tampa's Ybor City historical district, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house attended by Governor Rick Scott, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and hundreds of business leaders and guests.
Ashley Global Retail was awarded the Best Repurpose Project Award by the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, for its new Ybor facility.
The 76,000-square-foot facility involved an extensive remodel and resulted in the creation of 200 jobs in Ybor City, including 40 new e-commerce positions. An average of 40 workers were on site, six to seven days a week over a 10-month construction schedule to create this dynamic and efficient business facility.
