Aspen Dental Added 51 New Offices, Welcomed More Than 422,000 New Patients in 2010

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aspen Dental, one of the largest and fastest-growing networks of dental care providers in the U.S., experienced significant growth in 2010, adding 51 new dental offices, an expansion of more than 20 percent. The openings, which included the company's first locations in two new states (Nebraska and Tennessee), brought the total number of Aspen Dental practices to 273 locations in 21 states at the end of the year.

More than 422,000 new patients visited an Aspen Dental office during 2010, compared with 340,000 in 2009, a 25 percent increase. In total, Aspen Dental practices recorded more than 1.8 million total patient visits. Additionally, Aspen Dental's central and onsite denture labs produced more than 140,000 full and partial ComfiDents® brand dentures last year.

Growth will continue in 2011, with 55 new offices planned as well as expansion of the Aspen Dental Practice Support Center, which provides business support services to Aspen Dental doctors and their practices.  

Overview of Services

To facilitate easy access to comprehensive care and quality service, Aspen Dental doctors provide a full range of dental services, including hygiene, treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, extractions, fillings, oral surgery, whitening, and crown and bridge work. Free or reduced fee new-patient exam and X-rays are available for patients without dental insurance.

For denture-wearers, Aspen Dental offers eight different styles of ComfiDents® full and partial dentures, giving patients more options than are available at traditional dental practices.  Each denture is custom-crafted, and the dentist works with every patient to ensure proper fit and comfort. Aspen Dental practices have on-site denture laboratories, which helps facilitate quick turnaround for denture repairs, relines or adjustments. Free denture consultations are available for all denture patients.

Aspen Dental offers fees that are below market average, special promotions and senior discounts, and personalized, flexible payment plan options are available for qualified patients. For insured patients, each practice will work with all insurance providers.

Offices are open extended hours, including evenings and select Saturdays, so that patients can receive their care at a time that works best for their schedule. Walk-in and emergency patients are welcome.
