A.T. Kearney Elects 16 New Partners in First Half of 2013

CHICAGO, July 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney today announced it added 16 new partners during the first half of 2013. Ten of these new partners joined the firm from other consulting firms or from leadership positions with companies in their industry of specialization. A.T. Kearney now has 289 partners located in 57 offices around the world.

Since 2006 A.T. Kearney has grown its partner ranks, revenue and global footprint by one third each.

Six of the newly elected partners were principals with A.T. Kearney who were promoted during the firm's twice-annual partner selection process:

• Brian Forbes. Based in A.T. Kearney's Houston office, Forbes joined the firm in 2011 and specializes in the oil and gas industry as part of the Energy and Process Industries practice. He is a chemical engineer by training and has worked with super majors in improving asset performance in both new and mature fields.
• Dr. Carsten Gerhardt. Gerhardt joined A.T. Kearney in 2008 and is a Dusseldorf-based member of the Energy and Process Industries practice. He has worked closely with agrochemical/green biotech companies, farmer associations and research institutes on topics including risk management, R&D optimization and large-scale transformation.
• Michael F. Strohmer. Part of A.T. Kearney since 2001, Strohmer has led operations and procurement projects around the world as a member of the firm's Operations practice. He has worked in industries including high tech, utilities, process, and automotive and is based in A.T. Kearney's Vienna office.
• Fuminori Takemura. A member of the firm's Communications, Media and Technology practice, Takemura is based in Tokyo and joined A.T. Kearney in 2009. He has worked closely with electronics and device manufacturers, industry associations and public sector institutions on topics including corporate portfolio strategy, go-to-market strategy, and post-merger integration.
• Joongshik Wang. Based in Singapore, Joongshik joined A.T. Kearney in 2010 and is a member of the Strategy, Marketing and Sales practice. He has experience working with private equity, telecom and payment industries across Southeast Asia, China and Korea on issues including M&A, corporate portfolio optimization, product innovation, and digital marketing.
• Salvador Zarate. Part of A.T. Kearney since 2001, Zarate is a Dubai-based member of the Transportation, Travel and Infrastructure practice. He has worked closely with port authorities, port terminal operators, railway companies, infrastructure and travel companies on topics including post-merger integration, corporate and business strategy, pricing, efficiency improvement, and regulatory issues.

A.T. Kearney also elected 10 partners who came to the firm from other consulting companies or outside industry during the first half of 2013.

• Nigel Andrade. Based in Sydney, Andrade is a member of A.T. Kearney's Financial Institutions practice and has experience designing and implementing high-impact transformation programs with financial services regulators, banks, insurers, and asset managers around the world. Andrade joined A.T. Kearney from McKinsey & Company where he was a partner.
• Frank Bilstein. A member of A.T. Kearney's Strategy, Marketing and Sales practice, Bilstein joined A.T. Kearney from Simon-Kucher & Partners where he was a senior partner and member of the executive committee. Bilstein is based in Düsseldorf.
• John Cooper. Based in London, Cooper is a member of A.T. Kearney's Consumer and Retail practice. He joined the firm from Mars & Co. where he was focused on European consumer goods clients in the food, beer, wine & spirits and consumer electronics industries.
• Rajeev Kapoor. Based in New York and a member of A.T. Kearney's Health and Strategic Information Technology practices, Kapoor was previously a managing partner at Maja Equity Partners and serves on the boards of several healthcare companies. He has expertise in business performance improvement, merger integration, strategic information technology, mobile healthcare, and application solutions.
• Masahiro Kishida. Based in Tokyo, Kishida has experience with a broad range of issues in the consumer and retail and automotive industries, including corporate strategy, business unit strategy, organization, R&D and operational improvement. He joined A.T. Kearney from Booz & Company where he was a partner and co-leader of its Tokyo office.
• Eduardo Pacheco. With more than 25 years of experience, Pacheco most recently was the head of Dell Mexico's government and education division and former CEO of Globalstar Mexico. Pacheco is based in Mexico City and is a member of the Communications, Media and Technology practice. His previous consulting experience includes McKinsey & Company and Towers Watson, working with clients throughout North America, Latin America and Europe.
• Mark Powell. Based in London, Powell joined A.T. Kearney's Utilities practice from KPMG. He has more than 25 years of experiencein power, water and gas with a particular focus on strategic transformation, and has written and spoken extensively on the future of the UK utility marketplace.
• Oscar Ruiz. Based in London/Johannesburg, Ruiz has extensive experience in the telecommunications, technology and financial sectors globallywith significant focus inemerging markets. He came to A.T. Kearney from British Telecom where he most recently ran BT's International Telecom Business.
• Gregory Schooley. A member of A.T. Kearney's Private Equity practice, Schooley is based in New York andoffers deep experience in growth strategy, business model innovation, M&A and private equity investing, operational transformation, marketing strategy, customer decision making, and market mapping. He previously led the internal consulting unit JH Whitney, a midmarket buyout fund, and served as the CEO of a distressed business that he acquired and turned around.
• Gary Singer. Also based in New York, Singer is A.T. Kearney's Chief Marketing Officer and a partner in its Strategy, Sales and Marketing practice. Singer was CEO and founder of Redline Results, an independent management consultancy focused on transforming organizations into more efficient and effective, high-performing enterprises. He has also been a partner at McKinsey & Company and spent more than 20 years at two global advertising agencies.
