ATF Offers Reward in Gun Shop Burglary
22 Shotguns and Rifles Stolen from Suffolk Gun Store
NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Edgar A. Domenech, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Washington Field Division, today announced that ATF is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the firearms theft that occurred at Dashiell's Showroom, 1436 Holland Road, Suffolk Va. The first burglary occurred on October 7th, and the second burglary occurred between October 12 and October 13.
ATF and the Suffolk Police Department are investigating these burglaries. Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in helping solve this case. These firearms pose a potential danger to innocent citizens and investigators are seeking information that would aid in the resolution of the investigation.
"We know that in many instances stolen firearms end up in the hands of violent criminals, who use them to commit additional crimes. Law enforcement is asking for the public's assistance in removing these threats from the community," said Mr. Domenech.
