Atlantic Health System Hosts 21st Annual Research Day Symposium

MORRISTOWN, N.J., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantic Health System, a leading health care delivery system in New Jersey, hosted its 21^st annual system-wide Research Day Symposium on Wednesday, June 7. The symposium, held simultaneously at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center, included original and industry-sponsored studies presented by a distinguished group of medical professionals.

The Research Day Symposium provides clinical staff with the opportunity to share their advancements in clinical practice, and showcases Atlantic Health System's commitment to research and innovation—critical components of care delivery.

Noel Bairey Merz, MD, director of the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center, the Linda Joy Pollin Women's Heart Health Program, and the Preventive Cardiac Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, presented the keynote presentation: "Cardiovascular Disease: Do Sex, Gender, and Ethnicity Count?"
