AT&T Celebrates New High Tech Store in Raritan

RARITAN, N.J., Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- To address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services, AT&T* today announced a grand opening celebration for a new high-tech wireless store on Route 202 in Raritan. Somerset Patriots Manager and New York Yankees Legend Sparky Lyle will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12 p.m. on February 26. Lyle will also be on hand to sign AT&T autograph cards and Somerset Patriots items only between 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.

"Our newest store in Somerset County lets customers 'try before they buy' today's leading wireless devices," said Tom DeVito, vice president and general manager for AT&T in New Jersey and New York. "No single cell phone or application is for everyone. It's our job to make sure every customer makes the wireless selection and chooses the right plan to fit their wireless needs."

As part of the grand opening celebration, consumers can check out special discounts including up to $50 off select smartphone devices. **

Located in the Somerville Shopping Circle, the store is led by industry veteran Nate Parrelli who overseas a team of seven trained sales consultants who can demonstrate a wide range of products and assist both consumers and businesses with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  

The new Raritan store brings the number of AT&T owned locations in Somerset County to three, including the Bridgewater Commons Mall and Watchung. There are more than 40 AT&T owned stores in northern New Jersey including three device support centers in Metuchen, Union and Paramus, where customers can receive technical assistance and replacement services for their cell phones. Across northern New Jersey and metropolitan New York, AT&T has more than 135 AT&T owned locations. AT&T's products and services are also available at a number of authorized dealer and national retail locations.
