Gartner's Vendor Rating is an evaluation of a vendor as a whole and is based on Gartner's assessment of the vendor's vision and execution for a product or service, relative to Gartner's analysis of clients' requirements. In the July 2011 review of AT&T, Gartner looked at several different categories, including Traditional and Next Generation Telecom Services, Wireless, Communications and Outsourcing Professional Services, Hosting and Consumer.
For the Hosting Product/Services category, which includes cloud services, and the Organization category, AT&T earned "strong positives." Strong positive is the highest possible rating given. In the Traditional and Next Generation Telecom Services Technology/Methodology and Product/Services categories, AT&T received "positive" ratings.
