AT&T Investment in Mobility Management Services for Multinational Companies Recognised in Industry Analyst Report
DALLAS, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T(1)'s strategy of providing mobility management services to multinational companies has been recognised in the latest report from industry analyst firm IDC - 'Operator Mobility Strategies for Multinational Corporations'(2).
According to IDC, "AT&T has done well to expand some core mobility capabilities globally, tightly integrate some of these domains with its core portfolio across WAN, security, and UCC, and promote its carrier/technology neutrality approach outside of the U.S. There is no doubt it is a strong player in the U.S. and is doing very well in expanding into EMEA and Asia/Pacific."
The report finds that that the recession of 2008–2009 has put many organisations under increased pressure to reduce their global telecoms spend. While many companies feel that they have their traditional voice and data services under control, mobility services remain largely unmanaged. Over the past 18 months, many global operators have built global mobility strategies for their multinational customers.
IDC concludes that AT&T, "has an improving portfolio and has some big wins under its belt, and so much more is to come from AT&T in the next 12 months."
AT&T Global Mobile Management Services support the full spectrum of a customer's mobile service management needs through multi-carrier management, standardized operations and consolidated reporting.
