SEATTLE, May 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* is teaming up with KUBE 93 radio station and the Washington State Patrol on a campaign called "It Can Wait". The purpose is to save lives by raising public awareness about the dangers of texting and driving.

More than 500 drivers from the greater Seattle area are expected to attend today's event and sign a pledge to never send or read a text while driving. Vehicles will participate by driving through a course with stations where local drivers will learn about the consequences of texting while driving, have an opportunity to win Summer Jam concert tickets and take the "It Can Wait" pledge to not text and drive. |
Danielle Knight, KUBE 93's "Traffic Diva", will be on hand to share her experience getting into a head-on collision because she was distracted by a text message. The Washington State Patrol will display a crashed vehicle that was the result of texting while driving. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the dangers of texting while driving first-hand, using AT&T's distracted driving simulator, and hearing from a Washington State Patrol Trooper.
