AT&T Names Amy Hines Kramer Legislative Director of AT&T New York
Albany Credit Union Association Advocate to Lead Legislative Affairs in New York State
ALBANY, N.Y., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T today tapped Amy Hines Kramer for the company's top state legislative affairs slot in New York State. Kramer will be responsible for developing strategies and plans for achieving AT&T's legislative objectives, as well as for reaching out to key elected officials and policymakers in the state to disseminate the company's perspective on a range of issues.
"Amy is already a respected leader in Albany and beyond," said Hal Lenox, president of AT&T New York. "She possesses the expertise and savvy to work directly with every brand of official and policymaker in the state. This capability is especially critical in a telecommunications industry climate where public policy and issues management have become intertwined with the 'business of the business.'"
"What is most critical is that AT&T's New York customers and public officials are always afforded the best possible service and partnering in the telecommunications industry," said Lenox. "Amy will be a key player in that endeavor."
Prior to this assignment, Kramer was vice president, government affairs, at the Credit Union Association of New York, where she held similar and increasing responsibilities, helping the association achieve its legislative goals in the state. "Amy's achievement in Albany and breadth of knowledge about the workings of the State Capitol – make her a perfect fit for this pivotal role," said Lenox.
Before the credit union association position, Kramer was Senate Fellow/Legislative Coordinator for the New York State Senate, and assistant curator for the Shaker Museum & Library in Old Chatham.
Kramer has a Master of Arts degree in public history from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Minnesota.
Kramer will be located in Albany, New York.
