AT&T Names New Vice President And General Manager For South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C., Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today announced that it is welcoming industry veteran Keith Holmes to oversee operations in Georgia and South Carolina. Holmes will oversee the sales and operations for more than 1,300 employees, 82 AT&T-owned retail locations and more than 650 national retail partners and authorized resellers across both states.

Before being named Vice President and General Manager of South Carolina, Holmes served as Vice President and General Manager of AT&T's Georgia Mobility & Consumer Markets, where he was responsible for business development, retail sales, product launches and revenue and customer growth.  In his new position as Vice President and General Manager of Georgia and South Carolina, Keith will be based out of AT&T's Atlanta headquarters. 

Prior to his role as Vice President and General Manager of Georgia, he was Vice President of Sales, Business Communications Services for AT&T Southeast.  Before his General Manager role, Keith was Sr. AVP of BellSouth's Distribution organization. Keith was Assistant Vice President of Kentucky and Tennessee before being promoted to Sr. AVP.  Prior to BellSouth Small Business, Keith was the Division Manager – South Alabama Division for the Berry Company. The Berry Company (now AT&T Advertising Solutions) was a subsidiary of BellSouth Corporation. Other career positions held by Holmes include Director of Publishing for BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Company (now AT&T Advertising Solutions), as well as other key positions in the company in Collections, Customer Service, General Management, Project Management and Marketing.

Keith received his Bachelor's Degree in Management from Georgia Tech while simultaneously performing as a starting cornerback on a National Championship football team. Keith received his MBA from University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Keith dedicates a significant amount of time to non-profit community service, serving as a mentor and Board member for the Boys and Girls Club.  He also sits on the board of Camp Twin Lakes, Central Atlanta Progress and the Marcus Autism Center.  He has previously served as a volunteer for Junior Achievement and as a volunteer high school football coach.  Keith and his wife and their two children reside in Atlanta.
