AT&T Recognizes Winners of the DC Cup, Top DC Male and Female Finishers at Nation's Triathlon

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Who are the fastest triathletes in Washington, DC? AT&T* put that question to rest (for now) by awarding the DC Cup on Sunday, September 11, 2011, to the fastest DC male and female finishers of the 6th Annual Nation's Triathlon To Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Wylie Belasik, age 27, earned the distinction of fastest male competitor from Washington, DC, with a time of 1:34:25. Fastest female was four-time winner Hilary Cairns, age 41, with a time of 1:45:33.

The event began with a moment of silence for the victims of the terrorist attacks on the tenth anniversary and ended in a joyful celebration of more than 4,500 competitors and their family, friends and supporters recognizing individual and group goals and accomplishments.
