AT&T Sponsors Earthfest 2011, Promoting Sustainability Awareness in Northern New Jersey

CRESSKILL, N.J., April 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T  today praised organizers and fellow sponsors of Earthfest 2011 today for providing inspiring activities and valuable information on how to make the community and world more sustainable.

Earthfest 2011, organized by the Cresskill Environmental Commission (CEC) and Cresskill Educational Foundation (CEF), will be held April 30th between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Cresskill Community Center, 100 3rd Street.  AT&T honored the organizers of Earthfest with the AT&T Champions of the Environment award in 2010.

"AT&T is thrilled to again work with the Cresskill community," said J. Michael Schweder, president of AT&T New Jersey. "We are excited about this opportunity to engage in community activities, showcase new green technologies, and continue the effort to promote sustainability."

Participants in Earthfest 2011 can enjoy a community clean-up activity, family bike ride, environmental art/fun walk, live music/entertainment, and green and organic exhibits from various vendors and non-profit organizations. AT&T invites guests to visit the company's exhibit that features green products/services and a hybrid automobile that is part of the AT&T Green Fleet.

The festival is designed to raise awareness about Earth Day, and local and global environmental issues and solutions. Organizers said all proceeds, after expenses, will be administered by the CEF and go to help support environmental and educational programs and initiatives for Cresskill public school students.
