TUPELO, Miss., May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today announced $25,000 in funding to support tornado recovery efforts in Mississippi. The Winston County Disaster Relief Fund will receive $15,000 to help the Louisville area rebuild. In addition, the United Way of Northeast Mississippi will get $10,000 to help those in the Tupelo region who were impacted by the violent storms.
AT&T also is contributing $50,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with recovery across the states that were impacted by last week's tornadoes. The funds will be used by the American Red Cross disaster workers to provide food, shelter, emotional assistance and basic supplies to individuals and families affected by recent storms and tornadoes.
"In times of need, Mississippians rally together, and we are proud to support efforts to rebuild homes and businesses here in the Louisville area," said C.D. Smith, regional director, AT&T Mississippi.

In addition to funding from AT&T, people throughout the country can aid those impacted by the tornadoes. By texting REDCROSS to 90999, customers can donate $10 to the American Red Cross. The fee will be applied to monthly bills.
